What support is available in Scotland?

The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan offers eligible homeowners a grant of up to £7,500 for a heat pump, plus an optional interest-free loan of up to £7,500. Eligible rural and island households may receive an extra £1,500 grant, bringing the heat pump grant to up to £9,000.

The scheme is for existing homes in Scotland that are the owner’s main residence. A replacement heat pump does not qualify for grant funding, although a loan may be available. You must receive a written funding offer before work starts.
